What to do in Tulum

To write what Mexico has to offer in activities of all kinds, there are not enough pages and pages, both due to its breadth of territory and the amount of things to do and see.

A water sports lover's paradise, Tulum offers vacation fun!

With the coral reef, the second longest in the world and the great wonder of nature cenotes, the pieces of land sunk millions of years, they say that because of a meteorite, they create pools of fresh, fresh water and clear as the Caribbean Sea, where you can take a refreshing swim or truly unique dive.

Protection of Sea Turtles

Many species of sea turtles are in serious danger of extinction today, which is why they chose the tranquility of the waters and beaches of the Mexican Caribbean to lay their eggs.
We have several places along the Riviera Maya that have been declared a Sanctuary of the Sea Turtles, such as Tulum, Xcacel and Xcacelito.
It is possible, at the time of hatching that runs from September to the end of October, to organize visits to help the little newborn turtles to enter the water, it is really a unique feeling, it is given a name and a good kiss Luckily, only one tortoise in 1000 survives to adulthood.

Mayan Sites

We are in the world of Maya, the population of great intellect and culture, especially in the field of astronomy. We are surrounded by the most beautiful and ancient Mayan ruins, the closest one which is evidently Tulum, it is the only archaeological site in the sea and on a cliff, in fact Tulum in Mayan means “the boardwalk”.

You can continue in Cobà, where the highest pyramid in the Yucatan Peninsula is located, a site immersed in a fascinating jungle.

The most important archaeological site is Chichenitza, a royal Mayan city. Here you will find the field of the "ball game", the market, various types of housing, cenotes, where the famous "sacrifices" were made to the gods, the very important Mayan observatory from where they looked at the stars to predict the future.

Cenotes

Great wonder of nature, the pieces of earth sank millions of years ago, they say that because of a meteorite, they create pools of fresh and clear water like the Caribbean, where you can take a refreshing bath or dive in underground caves. The Yucatan Peninsula is rich in cenotes, visiting them all is impossible, but the choice is yours.

In the Riviera Maya there are many options to spend the day with fun and adventure

Kite Boarding

Once you experience the thrill of kite surfing, you will never be the same! It is the new sport in fashion and that thrives on pure adrenaline!

Long stretches of white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and palm trees make Tulum one of the most beautiful tropical paradises in Mexico and in the world. It is surrounded by the second largest barrier reef in the world and opens the doors to a wide range of ocean adventures.

The warm waters of Mexico and the tropical sun of the Caribbean make it perfect to spend hours in the ocean learning to kite surf, travel downwind or ride the waves on the reef break. The open stretches of white sand beaches are the ideal environment to learn or improve your kite surfing skills. With a south wind, you may have the opportunity to ride in front of the Tulum ruins and see them from a special perspective.
